Established in 2008 and located in the heart of Central Texas, the Georgetown Running Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and encourage running, walking and fitness with a community focus. Included in that is to provide competitive and non-competitive activities for its members and the general public. This includes road races, fun runs and relays that stretch across Williamson County on a monthly and annual basis that cover distances from 1 mile to 10k.

Virtual Vern’s No Frills 5K is just what it sounds like… a 5k with no frills and a price to match! Free to students K-12 and $1 for adults.
December Vern's No Frills 5k is Virtual Run
Same format as May-Nov. 4 days to choose from 1-4 events (5k, 10k, 21k, & 42k) that you can walk, walk/run, or run. You can do "One is the Loneliest #," "Double the Fun," "Trifecta," or "Quadzilla."
The event will start on Thursday, Dec 17 and end Sunday, Dec 20, at midnight.
You don't need to register at all. The best part for me as the race director, and a big thanks to Kyle at Event Data Solutions is that starting on Thu, Dec 17 YOU will be able to report your own results at https://zfrmz.com/8JHlwUPL9Kl1Erdlrpth
Again, the link will tell you it isn't accessible yet. Each time you run one of the events -- log your results.
You will be able to see your results here
Best of all post pictures on this event or on the Vern's No Frills 5k Facebook page of you running/walking or finishing or your watch with your time and distance. Also, don't forget to ring the virtual PR bell if you do a personal record.
If you wish to donate to the Williamson County Parks & Recreation, then use the Donate button on the www.georgetownrunningclub.com website. Thank you. Vern's No Frills 5k is usually a $1 for adults and free to students. Last month we raised $100 for the park with our virtual 5k.
Above all please practice social distancing. Let's have fun even virtually.
