The DAM Mile
When: Thursday May 10th, 2018 – 6:30pm
Where: 508 Lake Overlook Rd, Georgetown, Texas (Overlook Park)

The Georgetown Running Club is hosting the annual Dam Mile Race on Thursday, May 10th and members will automatically receive a $5 discount! This will be a chip timed one mile race that will be held in 3 heats starting at 6:30pm then ~6:40 and finally ~6:50.

Challenge your family, friends, and co-workers to come out and run on the scenic Lake Georgetown Dam.

Everyone gets a medal for finishing and tons of fun! The paved, flat to downhill course that is ideal for the walker to the competitive runner and everything in between. Great for strollers too!! It is a very fast point to point mile! There will be a free Kids Quarter mile for ages 10 and under held at the completion of the last mile heat with ribbons to finishers.


Registration and Race Number Pick Up

Online registration will remain open all the way through the start of the race. We will have tablets available so you can still register at the race site, but you can avoid the hassle by signing up anytime on any computer or mobile device with a web browser. All race number pick up will be onsite on race day.

Please carpool or park at HEB (at Williams Dr & DB Woods Rd) and jog down to Overlook Park from there. Allow plenty of time to find parking. Parking at Overlook Park will be very limited.


Vern’s No Frills 5K
When: Saturday, May 19th, 2018 – 8am
Where: Berry Springs Park, Georgetown, TX

Vern’s No Frills 5K is just what it sounds like… a 5k with no frills and a price to match! Free to students K-12 and $1 for adults.

What will you get? The same course every month that is timed. Water stop on the course and water after the race. Results posted. A NEW course that is 3 miles of paved trail and 0.1 miles of cinders. No mud/dirt or wood chips! Only 5 turns on the whole course.

The race will be every 3rd Saturday of the month at 8am.

At the end of the year, minus any costs, the money will be given to the Williamson County Parks & Recreation.

Registration – Race Day Only
Race day registration will begin at 7am and arrive early so the race can start on time.
Free to students K-12
$1 for adults (cash or coins only)
Waivers must be signed when signing up for adults & children.
