Race To Build 10k/5k Trail Race
When: Sunday March 5th, 2017 – 8:30am
Where: Williamson County Regional ParkHABITAT_RUN_2015

The Georgetown Running Club is hosting the Race to Build 10K/5K Trail Race that will start in WILCO Regional Park on Sunday, March 5, 2017.

The 10K will start at 8:30am followed by the 5K at 8:45am. Challenge your family, friends, and co-workers to come out and run/walk the race. The race will start and end in the parking lot of the disc golf/trail entrance parking lot. The race will feature a timed 5K run/walk with age group awards, sponsor booths, and tons of fun! Challenging 10K course that is on the trails in WILCO Regional Park. The 5K course is an out and back trail race that is mostly flat.

Due to the difficult terrain on the 10k course running strollers will NOT be allowed on the 10K course. This is for the safety of not only the person in the stroller but those on the course.

The majority of proceeds will be given to Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County. Some proceeds will go to Williamson County Parks & Recreation


Red Poppy 5k
When: Saturday April 29th, 2017 – 9am
Where: Georgetown High School

The Georgetown Running Club is hosting the Race to Build 10K/5K Trail Race that will start in WILCO Regional Park on Sunday, March 5, 2017.

The Georgetown Running Club is hosting the Red Poppy 5K that will start at 9am on Saturday, April 29. Challenge your family, friends, and co-workers to come out and run/walk the race. The race will start and end in front of Georgetown High School. The race will feature a timed 5K run/walk with 10 year age group awards, sponsor booths, and tons of fun! Fun course that is ideal for the walker to the competitive runner and everything in between. Great for strollers too!! After the race go into downtown Georgetown and enjoy the Red Poppy Festival.

Proceeds will be given to Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center. The center provides a safe place to disclose child abuse, reduce the emotional trauma for children and their non-offending family members, and extend professional services that protect the integrity of an investigation. Another DAM Mile
When: Wednesday May 10th, 2017 – 6:30pm
Where: Overlook Park – Lake Georgetown

The Georgetown Running Club is hosting the annual Dam Mile Race on Wednesday, May 10th and members will automatically receive a $5 discount! This will be a chip timed one mile race that will be held in 3 heats starting at 6:30pm then ~6:40 and finally ~6:50.

Challenge your family, friends, and co-workers to come out and run on the scenic Lake Georgetown Dam. Everyone gets a medal for finishing and tons of fun! The paved, flat to downhill course that is ideal for the walker to the competitive runner and everything in between. Great for strollers too!! It is a very fast point to point mile! There will be a free Kids Quarter mile for ages 10 and under held at the completion of the last mile heat with ribbons to finishers.

Vern’s No Frills 5K
VernNoFrills When: Saturday March 18th, 2017 – 8am
Where: Berry Springs Park

Get ready for Vern’s No Frills’ 5k on March 18th at Berry Springs Park in Georgetown.

Bring your friends, co-workers and neighbors and $1 to sign-up to be a part of what is becoming a 3rd Saturday tradition.

Race starts at 8am.
Registration starts at 7am.
Proceeds benefit Berry Springs Park.
